“WHY do you do it, Craig?” Dee asked softly.

Craig had been drifting toward sleep, warm in Dee’s arms, more than content to be the little spoon. He and Dee had made love repeatedly, and it was the best sex Craig had ever had—even if Dee wouldn’t let him see or touch him—because he was in love with Dee and it meant something to him.

“Hmm?” he murmured, trying to force his eyes to stay open.

“Escort. Why do you do it?”

“It’s easy, I make good money, and I like sex,” Craig said simply.

Dee didn’t respond, and Craig closed his eyes and felt himself start to drift off once more. He would think about what this meant for the both of them in the morning.

“How did you get into this business?” Dee asked sometime later as he placed small kisses along Craig’s neck.

It took a moment for Dee’s question to get through Craig’s sleep-heavy brain. “I told you I came to LA to model, right?” Craig asked, not opening his eyes. After a moment Dee made a noise of assent, and Craig continued. “It didn’t work out, but someone who knew someone knew someone else, and they got me an interview with Grant Fairchild, head of the company. He took a look at me and gave me a job.”

Dee tightened his arms around Craig. “I can see why. You’re so beautiful.” Dee’s words were soft and sincere as they were breathed out against Craig’s neck.

Craig grinned. “So’re you,” he said, snuggling back into Dee’s warmth. In some part of his exhausted mind, Craig noticed a difference in the texture of the skin of Dee’s chest where it pressed against his back. It felt rough and bumpy. He would ask Dee about it in the morning. Things were going to be different between them from now on. “Now shut up and go to sleep. Ya wore me out.”

He heard Dee give a soft laugh and felt Dee’s lips brush his nape before he fell asleep.
